Oh yeah another cool story I Just remembered I wanted to tell you. Or maybe I already told you. Well, the lavender lady...I was inspired to write my testimony in a blue Book of Mormon. So it was not a short testimony. It was 2 pages in the Book of Mormon. It was my testimony about our house fire and how the Book of Mormon helped me get to where I am now. So I wrapped it up and gave it to her as a thank you. So she said she will read it. So the next Friday she came up to me and gave me a hug and said thank you. And we started talking about how God works and all the blessings we get every day. Then she told me about her husband’s passing. It was coming up to his 3 yrs anniversary. I just went by the spirit and I am so happy I listened to the spirit and gave her a BOM. Fridays at the mall for family history is so wonderful. I think it’s also for us to get to know and become friends with everyone who is set up at the farmers market. They all know me and is always so happy to see me every Friday. I joke around with a lot of them and I have given out a few BOM to them. And it just means so much more to them because I get to know them. We have so many funny stories about them saving me from the chocolate guy...ha, ha, ha. That’s a story I need to tell you guys.
OKAY CHOCOLATE GUY STORY...a crazy guy
So this started about 3 transfers ago. I met this guy maybe the 3rd week we have been doing the family history at the farmers market at the mall on every Friday. So you know me...I am sweet and very nice..right...and mostly now cause I am a missionary. So I talk to everyone now. So he will come by our booth so I talked to him about family history and every Friday he came at our turn. Well let me discribe him for you. He is in his mid 20’s, he looks homeless, very dirty and filthy and smells. And I think he is not all there. So there was this one time he came and talked to us for an hour. He talks so much!!!! But I was thinking well I’m going to get a lesson out of this. So I was teaching him the first lesson in the mall, gave him a BOM, and some Elders number. I did not want him to call us. I prayed with him too. Oh ya did I tell you that out of nowhere he hugged me. Then he gave me 3 chocolate candy bars that’s why we call him the chocolate guy. I did not eat it. Then he left then came back after 15 min. So another lady that has a booth close by seen him and she came over as a distraction and talked about family history so that he would leave. It was so funny because there were elders there and watching and laughing. I texted them to come and talk to him but they would not come. They thought it was so funny. So we changed our time for the booth for the next few weeks but he some how found out what time we are there. So he always talks to us about how he loves the BOM and that he loves me and is praying for me everyday. Well this past Friday he came again and from behind he hugged me again. I told him he can not hug me. Well this time we are by the T&T phone guys and I was talking to them. Well the chocolate guy ask if he can come to Hawaii with me. I never answered then he said oh I will give you my address so we can write. So he is taking forever to write his address down then he pats my head and gives me his bracelet that he made. It is so dirty! Then he gave me more chocolate...and wanted to hug me again and said, “I love you”...I texted the elders and they came over to distract him and finally the chocolate guy leaves. Then I talk to Elder Hathaway and said it’s all his fault cause he was the elder from 3 transfers ago that were suppose to talk to him the first time I met him. Well they leave and then the T&T phone guys talk to me and asked was he drawing you a pic or giving you his #? I said his address#. Then the T&T guy said he has guts and laughed and said he beat me to that.
So that’s the chocolate guy story.....crazy guy...ha ha ha....glad I’m outta there.
