Aloha Family,
Okay, here's one more thing. I just found out that Elder Kaufusi knows Ira. Ask Ira if he knows someone with that last name. Elder Kaufusi was saying he worked out with Ira at school. He is Tongan. I took a photo of us and I'm in pink and he is the Tongan. This whole time he never knew that Ira is my brother. Today I was showing my photo book of the family and was telling him, Elder Kaufusi, that he needed to meet my brother when he comes to Hawaii. And I didn't know that they knew each other. Elder Kaufusi is a cool guy and makes me feel at home. I thought that was cool. Let Ira know that he is in my district and we are the only Polys in the district. Tell Ira Elder Kaufusi helps me a lot and he just knows when something is going on. So look when I send the SD card to you guys. I thought to tell you guys this. And the whole time I never knew they knew each other. Elder Kaufusi is like my brother. Well I miss and love you guys so much. And tell Amy Happy Birthday. And can you finish the family calendar and send me one. Thank you, I got the laundry bag. And my blessing too, if you can. There was something else I was going to tell you but I just forgot.
<3 Always, Sister Casey
Oh yeah, the photo on the SD card you can put on the blog.

Letter #6: MTC 01.23.13
Aloha Family,
Today is my P-Day.I had to get up at 5:00 to get ready for the temple. It was so good. I love the temple. This is my 2nd time here at this temple. The Spirit is so strong. I just feel so good. It's a good way to start my day. Can you tell Timbre, Li-Ke and Jarom thank you for everything and I got their card. Everyday goes by so slow and P-day feels like only 20 min...hahaha. Well the first week took forever. It was so much good work and the 2nd week went by so fast. I'm going to be so sad to say goodbye to everyone in the MTC. Our nights are so funny.
Today at lunch, an older sister saw me and I had a flower in my hair on the right side and she was saying to me that I have it on the right side...hahaha. So she was like, "Where are you from?" I was like, "Hawaii." Her and her husband served there. I forget where they are going for their 2nd mission. It was pretty funny. Here in the MTC I get asked a lot about being single from my flower and because I'm on a mission. I think it is so funny that they ask me that. Well I do not know what to write. I love you and miss you.

Letter #5: MTC 01.19.13
Aloha Mommy/Family,
There is something that I wanted to tell you that happened yesterday. The fire alarm went off at lunch in the caf. So all of us who were in the main building, which had the caf in it, had to go outside to the front of the MTC and the firetrucks came and the ambulance too. Well, when it went off, I was at the front office. We gave our coats to our companions to save seats in the caf and I had on my blue short sleeve on. We were outside in the cold...hahaha. Well in 20 min, a sweet elder in our zone but a different district just put his suit coat on me. We were out there for 1 hour. But the cool part was a different elder that I had never seen before said, " Hi, are you from Hawaii?" I said yes. He was like, "I knew I had seen you before" to me. I was like, "what?" He was like, "You spoke with your brother in your ward and he just came back from Japan." I was like, "ya." He was saying that he was
visiting our ward and my talk stuck with him. So he was like, "I knew I knew you."...LOL. I was like cool and he is going to Japan, Tokyo too. I thought that was cool. Oh yeah, the fire thing was all good.
There are a lot of good and sweet people and elders here. I love it so much. I can DISCERN! It is so cool and a lot of fun. I think that I did it even a little before my mission, but now it is on full blast...LOL. My teacher, Brother Elton, is the best. He is the perfect teacher for me. THe missionaries that are from Hawaii are not going to my mission. But I know them from school. One is the one that wrestled with me. Helam know who. Ammon is his name.
Today I had the Spirit with me all the two weeks I've been here and it's so strong. My last class today it was strong but a small incident happened and everyone lost the Spirit. I do not like that feeling at all and it made me realize that I can have the Spirit with me and in a second, it could be gone. I'm working hard to get it back up to where it was. I do now want that to happen again at all. So my testimony has gotten stronger just because of that. AndI'm trying harder to keep it strong with me because it's up to me if I want to lose it or not.
01.20.13
Me and my companion were asked by our president to teach a lesson in our district meeting and the person higher then our mission president was sitting in. Our topic was "Faith in Christ." (Oh yeah, the president's name is Pres. Oswald.) There is so much that happened today at the fireside, relief society, and the video. So good I have it all in my notes. But I only have 9 more days left in the MTC. I have 2 teachers. They both are awesome, but Brother Elton is the best. He is so open with us and we are helping him right now with planning a lesson for a girl that he is just starting teaching. He told us that we are his best and fave class so far. Such a cool story that he tells us. It is funny because after he is like, "I do not know why I told it to you guys." Just an update on my day until P-day before I forget.
01.22.13
Today we got our missionary checkout instructions. But it still hasn't hit me yet...hahaha. I'm meeting so many elders and coming friends. One of the districts in my zone left today. It was sad to say goodbye, but we gave info to each other. So now in our zone we are the old ones because the 3 new districts are here almost a week. But the cool thing is, there are 4 elders going to Hawaii for their mission so I will take a photo with them and sent it so if you see them you can say hi. One of them is Tongan but lived in Hawaii for 12 yr then moved to Utah, and his grandfather is the one who gave me my patriarchal blessing. I thought that was cool. I'm doing good and I love it so much. I only have 7 days in the MYC, next Tuesday I will be in Tacoma. :) Remember everything is THROUGH CHRIST! This is our motto in class :
Everyday is the 1st day-
Goal 1) Remember why you're here.
Goal 2) Remember who you represent.
The food is okay here, but I miss the local food.Today at gym I was playing volleyball with the Tongans. It's so much fun playing with the Polys. I love you all and miss you all. I'm happy to say that some days I do not think of you guys cuz I'm doing a lot of the Lord's work. But some nights I look in my photo book you made me Mommy. We got a commitment to baptism in TRC and the person was a non member, but that was the only time we've seen them. Now some other missionary serving here is going to teach them. They were a volunteer TRV and the cool thing is they play the role but sometimes you get a real investigator and you don't know until after. I'm singing in the choir tonight for the devotional. I was thinking to do something new. It's a lot of fun.

Letter #4: MTC 01.23.13
ALOHA Family,
I'm doing good and I love it here in the MTC so much.THANK YOU for all the letters and boxes. Yes Mommy I got all the boxes: brownies, chips, krispy kreme, & heattech. Mommmy I love the heattech so much, but it is not that cold here...hahaha. Most days I do not use my coat...lol. Everyone is like, "look at that hawaiian girl." Tell the Fisher family thank you for the homemade pie. Everyone in my district is like, "you are so loved cuz every time you get a box it has food in it"...hahaha. I love you all so much and miss you. I'm happpy to say that I'm starting a little everyday to not think so much of you guys because I'm doing the LORDS work. Mommy Sunday is not a break for me its just like everyday, but I was in the choir. I was thinking to do somthing different. So we sing for the devotional and David F. Evans of the 70 spoke to us and his wife. It was so good. The Sunday fireside was also good; I talk about it more in my letters to Mommy. But on Sunday we watched Elder Bendnar talk to the missionaries. I loved it and it is so funnny. One of the things that Elder Evans talked about is to everyday ask the "Q" WHAT HAVE I SEEN THE LORD'S HANDS DO FOR ME TODAY? and "A" WHAT YOU AND THE LORD DID FOR THE DAY. I hope that everyone gets better. Tell the kids I miss them so much and do good in school and that I'm trying to be a good example to them just the way everyone was for me in my life. You all got me where I am now. THANK YOU <3.
A cool thing last week we got 3 new districts in our zone and 4 of the elders are going to Hawaii on their mission and one of them their grandfather is the one who gave me my P BLESSING. I will take a photo with them so if you end up seeing any of them say HI for me. I will send my SDcard be4 I leave the MTC. Yesterday I saw Sami here for the first time. It was so good to see her. Oh, before I forget to say this, Mommy and Papa, can you check how much money I have on my card cuz I have to pay at the airport, but I think I have. Just want to be safe. A few days ago I got my MISSION CHECK INSTRUCTIONS.... I have made so many friends with all the POLYS. They make me feel like I'm at home. So we all are giving our info for after the mission. It is so much fun playing with them at gym time playing vollyball. Everyone in my zone is white but me and elder Kafusi, but I love them all. We all call ourselves the MTC family. And I'm teaching them how the speak like me...lol. I love my president. I got to know them the MTC presidency. They alll are cool. The talkes on Sunday went good. Everyone loves to listen to me speak. I do not know why...lol. Well my time is coming up soon. I'll write you a letter. OH I went to the temple today. It was so good. I love that feeling so much. I'll tell more about it later. Next time, I will email you guys I'll be in TACOMA.

Letter #3: MTC 01.16.13
Aloha Family,
I'm so thankful for all that you guys do for me. I love you and miss you so much, Everyone is a great example to me in every way. I'm so happy to have everyone apart of my life. Ammon did you teach Hereiti to cook for you? The MTC is so good, but it is so hard. I'm trying to do my very best here. The first day everyone told me "if you can make it to Friday, then you will be good" and that Friday is the hardest day. But from today that is not true. Everyone is different. Today is our P-day and this hit most of the girls. Now I know why I'm here- to help my companion and the other sister.
I love it. The spirit is so strong when we all went to the temple this morning. I love you guys. I'm growing up. Just want to thank you all for all you do. Every little thing you guys do helped me get to where I am now. Sorry for the bill on my tooth but I think it would had happened anyway. He told ("he" is the dentist) me I will be in pain for a week but the night before, I asked the elders to give me a blessing so that was Tuesday the 15th. Right now, I'm not in pain and it is looking good, the swelling is going down. I'm fine. Guess what?! Three of the sisters that are also going to Tacoma have red jackets...hahaha. I love you papa and miss you so much. But I am so happy that the elders can give me a blessing. They all are like my MTC family. I have a phone card so I can call you guys at the airport. And I have to speak this Sunday, the president asked me :). I leave 29 January 8:30 AM--Seattle,WA 9:44 AM. We just got our travel itinerary.
Love always,
Sister Casey

Letter #2: MTC 01.16.13
Aloha Family,
I love you guys so much and miss everyone. I'm doing good. The tooth thing is all okay now. I went to the dentist and had to get worked on. Thank you so much Mommy for the Doterra. I used it for my tooth. It started on Saturday so I never ate anything since. Yesterday was so good anyway. I had pain but I asked the elders to give me a blessing and for some of them it was only the 2nd time they had done it. Also there was a devotional and Elder HJeffrey R. Holland spoke to us and it was so good. The spirit was here with us and there were so many good things that he talked about. One of my fave things that he said was [that he] commanded us to "come back with one convert and it better be you..." There is so much more but I only have 30 min on here. Today we woke up at 5AM to go to the temple. It was so good and there spirit was there... Oh yeah, he also was saying that the MTC gates have angels watching over us. Oh yeah, I need Jarom's address to send things to them if I need to. Guess for a place that everyone knows your last name ask me about 100 times a day to say my whole first name...hahahaha. It's good that I know it...lol. Yesterday at 12 AM the fire alarm went off and all sisters had to go to the gym until 1:30 and still get up the same time, 6AM.
I love you but my time is coming up...The lord is always with you... I well like to thank you for helping me to get here. I love it so much and today the new missionaries are coming so we are old and there are 2 that are going to Hawaii. The ones that came with me from Hawaii, I knew them all. I feel so loved. I get a letter everyday, well 2 times a day, and I got 2 boxes. It is hard to only write you on my P-day. Tell the kids I love them and miss them too. And thank Jarom for everything and all that he did to help me here. Tell all of my brothers thank you for being good examples to me and now it is my turn. Love you, my time is up. I'll write you next time. XOXOXOX there is so much more so I'll try to write it to you all.
Love,

Letter #1: MTC 01.10.13
Aloha Family,
My mission pres is letting us write our family before our P-day this week. I;m going to be in the MTC for 2 1/2 weeks. Make sure you call Mommy and tell her. I'm going to try and get the date today for you guys. My letter's supposed to be short but that is why I woke up at 5:00. The first day was fun and we had classes all day. Tell Jarom thank you for me. After our classes we did not much then it was just going over the rules, but after dinner we had a TRC that is when we have a big group of 40 and all of us help each other and teach a non-member. Its a role play. At first 2 missionaries that have been here will start it off and we finish it. So it was fun being in a big group. So the fun things on Friday (tomorrow) my district is going to be the first missionaries this time without help and that big group will finish it up. So me and my companion are very nervous.
Oh my companion is Sis. Stucki. She is 20 and went to Dixie School or College. There are 6 of us in one room and all of us are going to Tacoma and we have 4 elders coming with us and 4 elders are going to Canada in my district. There are all ages from 18-21. Out of all of us new missionaries there are 4 from Hawaii. Tell Helam that Ammon from wrestling is on his mission, you know the short filipino.
Okay so I just got some time now to finish my letter. Its 4 or 6-ish. I'm trying to tell time with the one (watch) Helam gave me...Haha :) and I just came back from gym. It was so much fun, I played volleyball. Then they made me take the FLU vaccination. It was $21.00.
Well guess what? 400 new missionaries came in the same day as me and next week it will be 800 new missionaries. Today at lunch, I met a lot more sister missionaries going to Tacoma. There were about 18 of us and they knew a few more. So we all took a photo. The date I estimated departure date is 29 January and i just payed for a phone card. And I will call you from the airport. Tell MOMMY!!!
I miss you guys so much and I love you all. Tell the kids I miss and love them. I'm trying to be a good example to them just like my brother's are to me. Let them know the Lord is always there for them. I love them <3. I could not ask for a better teacher, district and companion. I had a class today, or this morning, and it was about "what is my purpose as a missionary." It was so good.
